For a panel, I want to have multiple columns for values from multiple queries. What I would like to see is grafana merge lines that have a common time field - or at least provide the option to specify which columns you want to merge on. I don't think we will be implementing this in Grafana any time soon. Feels like this belongs in the data source. It should already be implemented in Given that your rows you want to merge have the exact same time returned from influxdb - you can check this using the query inspector.
I tried to build a merged table using 2 influx db queries on play. It does work with InfluxDB if the timestamps match up, it is in the table data format and the fields are named differently.
Use the alias function to set different field names. Any thoughts of how to solve it?Free supervisor assessment test

Using "Time series" output does not get me any closer to what I want to see as output. This comment has been minimized. Sign in to view. In both of the examples on that page, a single value is the end result of the join. I didn't know we had this already. Yes is what I want to do! It just doesn't work with influxdb as a source - is it prometheus only at present? Sign up for free to join this conversation on GitHub.
It only takes a minute to sign up. I'm trying to combine stats from a couple ethernet interfaces and combine them to show aggregate bandwidth.
These two separate queries work on their own, but I can't figure out how to write it to combine these two. To combine aggregated measurements under different tags is a bit tricky. I managed to find this post which has the answer. The key is to use sub-queries InfluxDB 1. Then, since the field names are the same, they need to be renamed. Finally you can manipulate them as needed. Here's your example:. Figured it out after weeks of trial and error.

My apologies. I've very new to Influx. Building these simple network stats is my first foray into it.Mathematical operators follow the standard order of operations.
That is, parentheses take precedence to division and multiplication, which takes precedence to addition and subtraction. You can use this operator with any integers or Booleans, whether they are fields or constants.
It does not work with float or string datatypes, and you cannot mix integers and Booleans.General psychology quizlet exam 3
The following queries are invalid and the system returns an error:. The use of mathematical operators inside of function calls is currently unsupported. InfluxQL supports subqueries which offer similar functionality to using mathematical operators inside a function call. See Data Exploration for more information. See GitHub issue Using any of! There is no bitwise-not operator, because the results you expect depend on the width of your bitfield. InfluxQL does not know how wide your bitfield is, so cannot implement a suitable bitwise-not operator.
For example, if your bitfield is 8 bits wide, then to you the integer 1 represents the bits The bitwise-not of this should return the bitsi. However, if your bitfield is 16 bits wide, then the integer 1 represents the bits InfluxDB v1.
This page documents an earlier version of InfluxDB, which is no longer actively developed.Node-RED nodes to save and query data from an influxdb time series database. A Node-RED node to write and query data from an influxdb time series database. These nodes use the influxDB client for node. Currently it can only communicate with one influxdb host. To run this you'll need access to an influxdb database version 1. See the influxdb site for more information.
The last release of this node has been tested with InfluxDb 1. Run the following command in the root directory of your Node-RED install.Mybb documentation
Queries one or more measurements in an influxdb database. The query is specified in the node configuration or in the msg. Setting it in the node will override the msg.
The result is returned in msg. For example, here is a simple flow to query all of the points in the test measurement of the aTimeSeries database, where the query is in the configuration of the influxdb input node copy and paste to your NR editor. The fields and tags to write are in msg.
If the message is a string, number, or boolean, it will be written as a single value to the specified measurement called value. For example, the following flow injects a single random field called value into the measurement test in the database aTimeSeries with the current timestamp.
If msg. For example, the following flow injects three fields, numValuerandomValue and strValue into the same measurement with the current timestamp. For example, the following simple flow injects three fields as above, along with two tags, tag1 and tag2 :. Finally, if msg. Note how timestamps are specified - the number of milliseconds since 1 January UTC. The batch output node influx batch sends a list of points together in a batch to InfluxDB in a slightly different format from the output node, more in line with the underlying node.

Currently, only regex are supported. I thought there was an issue to address this, but i can't seem to find it right now.
It's pretty straight forward to implement it, so I'll try to get to it some time today. For now if you want to select from multiple series please use regex instead, e. Okay thanks jvshahid. To start experimenting with InfluxDB 2.
The kube-influxdb project is a set of Helm charts to make collection and visualization of Kubernetes metrics easy. It uses Telegraf, the metrics collection agent, to collect metrics and events and includes a set of pre-configured Chronograf dashboards.
See the kube-influxdb Getting Started guide. The Telegraf metrics collection agent can collect many types of metrics in a Kubernetes cluster, like Docker container metrics and stats from kubelets. It can even scrape Prometheus metrics API endpoints. Telegraf is used in the kube-influxdb project to collect metrics.
See Set up a Kubernetes monitoring architecture using Telegraf. See the FAQ for more information on why a more flexible time series data store is useful. See the FAQ for more info. InfluxData maintains Helm charts for setting up data collection and monitoring in Kubernetes using InfluxDB and related applications.
The InfluxData operator is a Kubernetes operator. The InfluxData operator can be used to deploy InfluxDB in Kubernetes and can handle operational tasks automatically, like creating a backup. InfluxData maintains ways to deploy the InfluxData Platform components to popular Kubernetes service providers.
InfluxDB was purpose-built as a time series database. Overall, it is more flexible and can handle more use cases than Prometheus alone, such as irregular events and string data types. Many InfluxDB users find it provides several advantages over Prometheus: - Handles event data that comes in at irregular intervals, e. While Kubernetes is rapidly becoming a stable deployment platform for stateful applications, it still introduces significant complexity and few benefits for database workloads.

While many users have managed to run the databases in Kubernetes successfully, many InfluxDB users have also experienced issues including significant downtime and even loss of data due to Kubernetes rescheduling pods or problems with mounted volumes.
InfluxData provides several ways to deploy InfluxDB in Kuberneteswhich should be considered experimental and not for use in production. The above recommendation only applies to the database. This documentation is open source. See a typo? Please, open an issue. Need help getting up and running?

Using InfluxDB in Grafana
Sign in to your account. I have the following query, where I have two different measures that I want to determine a percentage difference between. The problem seems to be that in the top level select, I can only operate on one of the subquery returns. My explanation is likely subpar, so an example:. It returns nothing at all in Grafana, however, if I replace one of the aliases with an actual number like below, then it works. If, as in the second query example that works I use "current", which comes from mission, my result will be named "missions.
I've used several different versions of Influx for this, although 1. Is there another way to make this work? Oh, and the examples above come from Grafana, which is why the queries have those timefilters.
I can give you the raw queries if needed. When I make the full request to try and operate on the subselects actually, just return themit doesn't work.Utorrent not connecting to seeds or peers
I'm scoped to whatever the first subselect is:. I am having the same issue, did you came back with a solution? Is it maybe because the subqueries give you same time, and the influx just pick one of them? What I ended up doing to solve the problem was creating three more measurements. So previously I had a measure called missions, now I have. Then I have another process that pulls that data back out of Influx using the following queries that perform the percentage processing:.
Not elegant at all, requires too much data storage and a second set of processing I wish I didn't have, but it works. This issue has been automatically marked as stale because it has not had recent activity.
